Integration with On-Premise Sysnet

About

Mobile POS is a cloud-based solution that allows staff to place orders, manage tables, and process payments from mobile phones and tablets via a web browser.

While Mobile POS can operate independently, integration with an existing on-premise Sysnet installation is strongly recommended for venues already using Sysnet. Integration ensures that:

  • Items and pricing remain consistent
  • Orders flow directly into Sysnet for processing
  • Kitchen printing works as normal
  • Table charges and payments stay synchronised
  • Reporting remains centralised in Sysnet

This allows venues to extend their POS capabilities to mobile devices without changing their core Sysnet workflows.

How the Integration Works

When integrated, data moves securely between your on-premise Sysnet server and the Mobile POS cloud services.

In Simple Terms:

  • Menus flow from Sysnet to Mobile POS
  • Orders flow from Mobile POS back to Sysnet
  • Table activity stays synchronised
  • Transactions are recorded and processed in Sysnet

Sysnet remains your system of record for transactions and reporting.

Core Components

1. Mobile POS Application

A fully responsive web-based application that runs on mobile phones and tablets via a browser.

Mobile POS allows staff to:

  • Place orders
  • Manage tables
  • Process payments

Orders are sent directly into Sysnet for standard processing and kitchen printing.

2. Menu Management & Menu Management API

(Sysnet → Cloud → Mobile POS)

Synchronises items and pricing from your Sysnet database to the cloud.

The Menu Management Portal controls:

  • Which items appear in Mobile POS
  • Menu structure and layout
  • Item availability

This ensures pricing remains aligned with Sysnet while allowing flexibility in how menus are presented on mobile devices.

3. Order Integration Services

(Mobile POS → Web Order API → Sysnet)

The Web Orders API and Sysnet Order Service send Mobile POS transactions back to your on-premise Sysnet server.

Sysnet then:

  • Processes the transaction
  • Triggers kitchen printing
  • Records the sale for reporting

Mobile POS orders follow the same operational flow as standard Sysnet transactions.

4. Table Integration Services

(Mobile POS ↔ Sysnet)

The Table API and supporting services synchronise table information between Mobile POS and Sysnet.

This enables:

  • Charging orders to tables
  • Viewing table balances
  • Processing table payments

Sysnet remains the system of record for all completed transactions.

Why Integration Is Recommended

For venues already using on-premise Sysnet, integration ensures:

  • One central source of truth for transactions
  • No double handling of menu updates
  • Consistent reporting
  • Standard kitchen printing workflows
  • Accurate table balances

Mobile POS enhances mobility and service speed, while Sysnet continues to power your core operations.
