Menus
The Mobile POS order screen layout is determined by the selected Menu.
A menu controls:
- The category pages displayed
- Which items are available for sale
- How items are arranged (left to right, top to bottom)
Menus are created and managed in the Menu Management Portal.
It is important to note that items do not automatically appear in Mobile POS simply because they exist in Sysnet. Items must be added to a menu within the Menu Management Portal to become available for sale in Mobile POS.

You can change the selected menu in Mobile POS at any time. However, the switching menus will clear the active sale cart. If items are present in the cart, a confirmation prompt will appear before the menu is changed.
Items and Prices
Items, display names, and prices used in Mobile POS are managed within the Menu Management Portal.
If Mobile POS is integrated with Sysnet, item and pricing data can be automatically synchronised from H&L Stock (on-premise) to Menu Management via the Sysnet Menu Management Exporter Service. By default, the Exporter Service checks for updates every five minutes.
Alternatively, updates can be uploaded manually using the Sysnet Menu Management Exporter Application. For more information, see: Sysnet Menu Management Exporter Application – Manual Uploads.
Users also have the option to create new items or update existing items and prices directly within Menu Management, if required.
Once items exist in Menu Management, they must be added to the relevant menu before they will appear in Mobile POS.
After uploading products or prices, or saving changes to a menu, reselect the menu in Mobile POS to refresh and display the latest updates.
