Release Notes

9 February 2026 - Menu Management

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Added PLU and Price to Range Group item selection and assigned item lists to make it easier to choose and verify the correct items

  • Improved list navigation so Items and Modifier Groups remember the search, filters, sort order, and scroll position when returning from a detail screen

  • Added an Edit Item action to menu items, allowing a direct jump to the item detail and return to Menu without losing the current position

  • Enabled editing of venue names in the Menu Management console (for users with appropriate access)

  • Added item count badges to menu categories so the number of items in each category is visible at a glance

  • Enabled bulk linking of a modifier group to multiple items from the Modifier Group page, to quickly associate shared groups (for example “Sauces”) with many items at once

  • Added “Select All (current results)” and “Clear selection” to the Add Items to Category screen to enable quick bulk-add of items from the current search or filtered list without affecting unrelated items

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue that prevented some menus from being deleted

  • Improved error messages when deleting items, modifier groups, or modifier items that are still in use, so required actions are clearer


23 October 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Improved device selection so available POS devices are clearly highlighted, with status and current user, making it easier to choose the right device for a session

  • Refined handling of organisation, venue, and location changes so that current orders are cleared when context changes, preventing orders from being finalised against the wrong area

  • Added support for adding modifiers to items already in the current order, allowing orders to be adjusted without starting again

  • Introduced menu-wide search across all items so staff can quickly find menu items without switching between categories

  • Improved order screen interaction so large carts are easier to work with, including automatic repositioning of the bottom item to reveal edit actions and faster multiple-quantity taps

  • Updated the visual design to apply a consistent primary colour palette and remove legacy cyan styling for a more polished interface

  • Added a floating cart button on mobile devices that shows item count and order total, making the current order easier to access from anywhere on the screen

  • Introduced a feedback link in the main menu so Mobile POS feedback can be submitted directly from within the app

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where the location selector could fail for staff with different roles across organisations or venues, ensuring the correct locations appear for Mobile POS access

  • Fixed a problem where zooming in on the login screen could leave the main app permanently zoomed, ensuring the interface always renders at the correct scale

  • Corrected the Mobile POS link in the Customer Portal staging environment so the staging app opens as expected

  • Addressed a device-claim loop where reclaiming the same POS device across sessions could cause repeated “device claimed” prompts

  • Improved handling of large orders (over $190) so the finalise payment screen loads reliably

  • Updated negative amount formatting so the minus sign consistently appears before the dollar sign across orders, payments, and receipts


7 October 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Added full support for modifiers on order items, including automatic prompts when items require selections (for example, sides or cooking preferences)

  • Introduced powerful search across all menu items so items can be located by name without navigating through every category

  • Improved POS device selection flow during login and device changes, including clearer context, error handling, and device status indicators

  • Enhanced in-order editing so quantities can be adjusted, items can be moved within the order, and items can be removed with immediate updates to totals

  • Added support for finalising orders to existing table bills and for paying table bills directly, including full display of table balances, payments, and details

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where location selection and venue access did not always respect role combinations, ensuring Mobile POS access aligns with assigned roles

  • Improved menu loading and refresh behaviour so menus, categories, and items consistently appear after login and when switching menus


23 September 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Introduced an Order History page so past orders can be searched, filtered and reviewed by date, invoice number, table, amount, and user

  • Added the ability to open detailed order views from Order History, including items, modifiers, totals, and payment breakdowns

  • Added order-level digital receipts from history, including email and QR code options, so receipts can be resent or re-shared after service

  • Introduced a table bills list grouped by area (for example, Restaurant, Beer Garden, Bistro), showing table totals, paid amounts, and outstanding balances

  • Added support for processing table bill payments from Mobile POS, including partial payments, surcharges, and multiple tenders

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issues with device session reset behaviour so managers can safely reset a POS device session and prompt the affected staff member to select a new device

  • Improved logging, menu ordering, and minor UI behaviours to make table and order operations more consistent and transparent


10 September 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Added a dedicated table bill payment flow, including full balance calculation, support for partial payments, and integrated card or cash handling

  • Extended the table bills list so active tables can be located quickly and sent to payment from a single screen

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where orders of $190 or more could stall on the “validating prices” step, ensuring the finalise payment screen loads for higher-value orders


3 September 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Introduced an Order History view with a full list of recent orders for each venue, including key information such as time, amount, table, invoice, and status

  • Added a detailed order view showing items, modifiers, payments, and totals, giving staff a clear picture of completed transactions

  • Enabled digital receipts from the Order History view, including email and QR code options for customers who request a copy after payment

  • Added intelligent table assignment so orders can be finalised to a table (or marked as having no table), with table information passed through to Sysnet via WebOrders

  • Introduced in-order refunding of items from the current order (negative quantities with clear styling), supporting corrections and partial refunds before completion

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issues where orders over $190 could fail to reach the payment screen

  • Prevented pairing of “Tap to Pay on Device” terminals directly to POS devices, aligning terminal behaviour with the new tap‑to‑pay model


19 August 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Introduced a complete payment experience for Mobile POS, including:

    • Flexible payment methods (cash, card via paired terminals, table charge, and split payments)

    • Smart cash handling with suggested denominations and automatic change calculations

    • Split payment support across multiple tenders with real-time balance tracking

    • A professional payment confirmation screen with clear breakdowns and digital receipt options

  • Added support for intelligent table assignment and table charges, with table details included in the WebOrders payload for accurate on‑premise posting

  • Launched full integration with Adyen terminals and tap‑to‑pay devices, including initiating payments from Mobile POS and displaying clear success or failure results

  • Implemented structured WebOrders posting so Mobile POS orders, table bills, payments, surcharges, and invoice numbers flow correctly into Sysnet

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Improved error handling during payment so failures, cancellations and WebOrders issues clearly guide staff back to the order or payment screen without losing work


23 July 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Introduced POS device management in Settings, including:

    • Registering POS devices for a venue

    • Toggling devices active/inactive so only approved devices can be used

    • Resetting device sessions so devices can be reassigned mid-service

  • Added the ability to link payment terminals (for example, Adyen terminals) to POS devices, with clear status and mapping management

  • Improved receipt formatting so tax information, ABN and GST indicators are clearer and better aligned with venue branding and regulatory expectations

  • Introduced unique integer-based invoice numbers that appear on receipts and are sent to Sysnet as Docket Number.

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the payment success confirmation timeout could leave an order active instead of safely clearing it and returning to a fresh order


1 July 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Introduced venue and location management in Settings so location names and Sysnet station IDs can be viewed and edited for accurate integration mapping

  • Updated the WebOrders integration to send the location integration ID (Sysnet Station No) and to better log request details for diagnostics

  • Improved price refresh behaviour so item prices are re‑checked against Menu Management when finalising or paying an order, with clear notifications when prices change

⚙️ Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issues where menu category and item display order did not correctly match the configuration in Menu Management


19 June 2025 - Mobile POS

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Initial production release of Mobile POS, including:

    • Secure login via Auth0 with Mobile POS role-based access

    • Organisation, venue, and location selection on login to ensure the correct menus and data are loaded

    • Core ordering capabilities: browse menus, add items, view and edit the current order, and clear or adjust items before finalising

    • Automatic handling of required modifiers and range options (sizes/variants) for menu items

    • Finalising orders with cash, card (non-integrated), or table charge, and posting orders to Sysnet via the WebOrders API

    • Digital receipts via QR code and email, using a mobile-optimised receipt view

    • Auto-logout after inactivity to protect access on shared devices
