This guide explains how to perform manual or PDE-assisted stocktakes using the Stocktake module in the on-premise Stock application. Regular stocktakes help identify discrepancies, maintain system accuracy, and detect excess stock levels.

Note

Some PDE instructions vary depending on the make and model you use. For our current PDE model, the Denso 1505, be aware of the following changes:

• Page 14, Step 3 – To transfer the stocktake pack file:
  1. Press F1 on the PDE to return to the menu.
  2.  Connect the PDE to the USB cradle.
  3.  In Windows File Explorer, open Handy Terminal. (It appears like a USB thumb drive.)
  4.  Drag and drop (or copy and paste) the pack file onto your desktop or another local folder.
• Page 15, Step 3 (continued) – In the PDE Import window:
  • Select BHT as the PDE Type.
