Create and Manage Menus

Menus are a list of items grouped by categories that can be used by H&L and 3rd party applications. For example, H&L’s MobilePOS application uses Menu Management to determine what products to display on the application. 
 

To create a new menu: 

  1. Navigate to the Menus page. 
     
  2. Click the + button or the Add Menus button (displayed if there are no existing menus for a location). 
     
  3. Click the   pencil icon or the Menu title and give your menu a descriptive name. 
     
  4. Click the + button to add a Category, then give it a descriptive name. 
     
  5. Click the smaller + button to the right of the new Category to add Items to the Category. 
     
  6. Tick the checkbox next to items you want to add to this Category. You can scroll through the list or use the search field to find items to add.  

  7. Click Save Changes in the top right corner to add the selected items to the Category. 

  8. Click the ▼ icon to expand the category. If required, click and drag the  button to reorder items. The item order can be used by the external application to determine the order to display the Items. 

  9. Repeat steps 3 to 7 for all Categories you want in this Menu. 

  10. From the Menu Detail page, click and drag the ═ button alongside each Category to reorder them. 
     


You can click on existing Menus and Categories to edit or update them. The ••• button lets you rename or delete them 
 
Note: Deleting a Category requires all Items to first be removed from the Category first. Deleting a Menu requires all Categories to first be removed from the Menu first.
