Create and Manage Items in Menu Management

Create and Manage Items

Important: When using Sysnet On Premise, while it is also possible to manually add Items directly in the Menu Management Application, this is not recommended. Instead, add these in via the Sysnet On Premise Stock module, then upload them using the Menu Management Exporter application or service.

Fields Available

  • Item Type – A Standard item is any selling or menu product and can have a price. Range Group Item allows for consolidation of many items into one collection.

  • Auto Pricing – automatically set to enabled when uploading PLUs from Sysnet. Disabling Auto Pricing will prevent updates from the Sysnet PLU.

  • Track Qty – this determines if this Item should be ‘tracked’ by its Qty on handIt’s a flag that integrators use to determine what rules to apply in their app. E.g. show the qty on hand if tracked is enabled.

  • Qty on Hand – if enabled in the export configuration, the StockInLocation quantity on hand will be uploaded/updated from Sysnet. If enabled in the export configuration, and if there is an Available Portion set against the PLU, this will be uploaded/updated instead of the stock in location qty on hand.

  • Dietary Requirements - are not uploaded from the Sysnet PLU. These can be managed directly in Menu Management.

  • Images - are not uploaded from the Sysnet PLU. These can be managed directly in Menu Management.
