How H&L’s Integration with Stripe Works

The Stripe platform provides payment processing solutions for businesses of all sizes. H&L’s integration with Stripe supports direct payments for quick sales and tables payments from the Exceed POS (Point of Sale) terminal but does not include a Pay@Table solution.

Integration Features
Standard Payments - Supports quick sales and table payments.
POS Metadata Transmission - Sends details such as:
Sysnet Venue ID
Sysnet Venue Name
Stripe Payment Terminal ID
Sysnet Docket Number
POS Surcharge Handling - Payments include surcharges configured against Sysnet Tender Types.
Tipping Support - Customers can add tips via the Stripe Payment Terminal.
How To:
Finalise a Quick Sale Using Card PaymentIn Exceed, ring up items as usual.
Finalise the sale using the Fast EFTPOS key or the Tender Types key > EFTPOS.
To process a partial payment, enter the desired amount in the EFTPOS field.
The customer follows prompts on the Stripe Payment Terminal.
If successful, the POS closes the sale.
Pay a Table Using Card Payment
In Exceed, go to the Table Functions screen.
Highlight the table to be paid and select Pay.
Enter amount to be paid in the EFTPOS field, then select OK.
The customer follows prompts on the Stripe Payment Terminal.
If successful, the POS closes the transaction.
Finalise a Sale with a Surcharge
Note: The POS surcharge must be configured in Utilities > Tender Types before beginning the payment.
In Exceed, ring up items as usual.
Finalise the sale using the Fast EFTPOS key or the Tender Types key > EFTPOS.
The customer follows prompts on the Stripe Payment Terminal.
If successful, the last transaction screen on the Stripe Payment Terminal displays the updated total including the surcharge.
If successful, the POS updates the surcharge amount associated with tender and closes the transaction.
Finalise a Sale with a Tip
Note: Tips are only supported via Stripe’s Payment Terminal.
In Exceed, ring up items as usual.
Finalise the sale using the Fast EFTPOS key or the Tender Types key > EFTPOS.
The customer follows prompts on Stripe Payment Terminal, including adding a tip.
If successful, the last transaction screen on the Stripe Payment Terminal displays the updated total including the tip.
If successful, the POS records the tip amount and closes the transaction.
