Introducing the Metcash Scan Integration (for Sysnet 9.0.0+)


H&L’s integration with Metcash Scan enables transactional data to be sent directly to Metcash’s API services. This integration is required for compatibility with Metcash Scan 2.5 and Metcash Host.


The Metcash Scan integration runs automatically and does not require user intervention. Transactional and station total data are exported daily from all active point-of-sale (POS) stations during End of Day (EOD) processing. The integration also automates the reconciliation process. Missing or imbalanced export data is resent daily via a time switch, helping prevent rebate processing delays.

  • Automated data export – Sales Transaction and Sales Total files are sent to Metcash automatically during EOD processing.

  • Reconciliation support – Metcash can flag POS stations that report zero totals or discrepancies between transaction and total sales data. These records are automatically resent via time switch.

  • Manual export support – Reconciliation exports can be sent manually using MetcashScanExport.exe.

  • Improved data accuracy – The integration enhances the accuracy of exported data, including Metcash promotion codes, in-store promotional pricing, sales specials, price overrides, and mix-and-match discounts.

  • Secure integration – Improved authentication helps ensure data security and integrity.



Manual Reconciliation Export

You typically won’t need to send a reconciliation export manually, as the daily automated time switch handles it. But if needed, you can still send one using the MetcashScanExport application.

To send a manual export:

  1. Open the MetcashScanExport application. A shortcut may be available on your desktop, or navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\H & L\Sysnet\MetcashScanExport.exe.

  1. Click Get Required Sales. This returns any Unbalanced or No data stations.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • If results are returned: Select the records to resend (use Shift+Click to select multiple), then click Re-send.

    • If no results are returned: No missing data has been identified by Metcash. No further action is required.

    • If you receive an error: Contact the Metcash team for assistance.
