Payment Terminals

About

H&L Pay currently supports three payment terminal models. This guide provides basic information for each model, including how to power on the device, access system menus, and locate key hardware components.

This guide covers the following payment terminal models:

S1F2
V400m
AMS1

S1F2 Key features Wi-Fi / 4G eSIM Inbuilt printer Large touchscreen H&L recommends the S1F2 for its reliability and large screen. Note: This model is slightly bulkier than others.
Power options To turn on the terminal, press the Power button (located on the side of the terminal). To power off or restart, hold the Power button to open the on-screen menu, then select the desired option.
Accessing settings and device info Tap the Settings icon. From the Settings menu, select Device info.
Other hardware details Paper roll access – Located near the top of the display. Pull up the latch to open the paper roll compartment. Battery access – On the back of the terminal. Press down firmly near the ▼ (triangle) at the top-centre of the battery cover, then slide it down. Charging port location – On the side of the terminal, behind the port cover. Serial number location – On the back of the terminal, behind the paper roll compartment.

V400m Key features Wi-Fi / 4G SIM card Inbuilt printer Ethernet support via Bluetooth base station Physical PIN pad with Cancel ( X ), Clear ( < ), and Confirm ( O ) buttons H&L recommends the V400m with Ethernet Base for venues with unreliable or unstable Wi-Fi.
Power options Turn on the terminal by connecting it to a power supply or by pressing and holding the Confirm button until the display turns on. To power off or restart: From the Settings menu, select Power > enter passcode > choose Power Off or Restart, or Press and hold the Cancel button until the display turns off. Contact H&L Support if you need to confirm the Settings passcode.
Accessing settings and device info Press 9, then press the Confirm button. From the Settings menu, select Device info.
Other hardware details Paper roll access – Located near the top of the display. Pull up the latch to open the paper roll compartment. Battery access – Slide the locking mechanism on the back of the terminal to the right to remove the battery cover. Charging port location – On the side of the terminal, or via the Bluetooth base station. Serial number location – On the back of the terminal, below the Verifone logo.

AMS1 Key features Wi-Fi / 4G SIM card Compact form factor H&L recommends the AMS1 for venues with strong and reliable Wi-Fi. These terminals are compact and easy for staff to carry.
Power options Turn on the terminal using the Power button, located on the side of the terminal. To power off or restart, hold the Power button and accept the on-screen prompt.
Accessing settings and device info Tap the Settings icon. From the Settings menu, select Device info.
Other hardware details Battery access – Slide the battery cover downward on the back of the terminal. Charging port location – A USB-C charging port is located at the base of the terminal, below the screen. Serial number location – On the back of the terminal, near the bottom of the battery cover.
